No, and no credible can nor should. Search engines are constantly changing, and real SEO is about steady, lasting growth, not quick gains. What we do guarantee is transparent work, honest reporting, and proven strategies built on years of experience serving contractors. We’ve helped hundreds of trades businesses grow online by doing things the right way.
We stay plugged into both the trades and the digital marketing world. Our team regularly attends advanced SEO training and digital marketing conferences to stay ahead of algorithm updates and best practices. We follow and learn from leading local SEO experts, such as Joy Hawkins and the team at LocalU, alongside other respected voices in the industry. Combined with our active involvement in trade groups such as Women in HVACR, PHCC, and ACCA, we keep our thumb on the pulse of factors that affect our niche. Whether it’s Google’s latest update or the next significant shift in contractor search behavior, Online Access is up to date.
Yes. We optimize and manage Google Business Profiles for contractors across North America. Our team keeps your business information consistent across the web, posts updates, and monitors reviews to help you rank better in your service area. Local visibility plays a significant role in how we generate leads. We also monitor your listing for bad reviews and potential visibility problems. If needed, we have a Google Product Expert on staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Our owners, brothers Dave and Dan Squires, grew up in the contracting industry. They know the trades are filled with amazing, hardworking people. And they believe they deserve an honest website provider that speaks their language—a marketing partner that understands the trends and realities unique to contracting and other home service businesses. We also like supporting the blue-collar work that keeps this country going. As COVID highlighted, the trades are essential to everyday life.
There are a few questions you need to ask yourself. Can someone easily find your phone number? Can they tell what you do at a glance? Is your service area front and center? Are you getting a lot of calls from it? Any contracting website provider should offer robust reporting tools. These will highlight things like phone calls, direction requests, and page visits. It’ll also give you the data you need to determine your website's ROI.
Yes! Once you sign up with Online Access, a typical start-up includes working with our startup coordinator to choose a site design, select content, and we'll have you enter some information about your company to our PagePilot platform. If you’re responsive, your new site will typically be live within six weeks. If you have a hard deadline sooner, just let our startup or redesign coordinator know.
You don’t! We're here to handle that. For any changes you need, simply send us the information or content you want, and we’ll put it up. If you have us develop custom content for you, our team will design the page as part of that process. Let us handle the HTML and CSS while you worry about your business.
We do not. We actually developed our own CMS (content management system) years before WordPress was introduced. Ours does not have an interface like WordPress, but that is unnecessary as our customer support team handles most edits within 24 hours. We also don’t face the same security risks as larger website platforms like WordPress and Shopify. And, contrary to what you might have been told, the use of WordPress has zero impact on ranking.
We believe it will eventually disrupt the home services market, but it’s not there yet. The sky isn’t falling. For most transactional queries, like booking a furnace repair, most people still rely on Google. Your website is also the source of the content that AI regurgitates. All of our content is still written by humans, with some AI assists involved. We also regularly use it to help with tasks such as analysis and to evaluate how Large Language Models (LLMs) perceive our contractors.
We can, however, we want people to work with us because they like what we offer, not simply because we tore apart their existing website. If you would like us to take a look, please contact us by phone or email. We’ll run some benchmarking reports for you. Then, we’ll discuss what we see and what improvements might be helpful. Whether you choose to work with us is then up to you.
We only optimize sites that we host. Our content team also only writes content for our customer's sites. It can be difficult to work with a different digital marketing company (due mostly to response times). We also have a lot of processes and tools baked into our content management system to facilitate SEO management and implementation.
