Introducing Online Access

Online Access is a contractor-focused digital marketing company built by people who have spent decades working in HVAC and plumbing. Dave and Daniel Squires started Online Access 26 years ago after developing their first website—a frustrating experience. They took up the challenge to develop a contractor-friendly system, one where clients could hit the ground running. With more than two decades behind us, we remain dedicated to helping HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other home service companies succeed and grow.

Our experience in the trades informs everything we do from the unique tools we develop, to the content we write, and the design of our websites. Today, Dave’s daughter, Colleen Keyworth, is working to bend our foundations to serve the next generation of contractors amid the ever-changing online landscape.

What started as a small family company has in 2026 grown into a team of 37 U.S.-based digital marketing specialists who 'get' contracting. Today, over 500 contractors trust us to manage their online presence.

Our Mission

At Online Access, we've had contractors come to us who've been burned by long-term contracts, by agencies that didn’t know the difference between a furnace and an air handler, and by broken promises. Our mission is to advocate for contractors. We don't make promises just to gain your business and we work to keep it a month at a time.

What's more, we help contractors understand the difference between search engine optimization and search engine marketing, so they can make informed decisions. Our goal is to empower home service providers so they achieve a good return on investment.

    • Online Access moves away from templated DIY designs to offer custom, fully managed responsive website designs for home service companies. Co-Pilot is introduced as an option to bring existing website subscribers up to the new fully managed level of services.

    • Online Access partners with NearbyNow as a certified reseller and offers agency-supported SEO Master support for their review platform.
    • Online Access releases its brandable ‘3-Brutal Reasons’ duct cleaning video offered through O-A Productions.

    • Online Access develops and launches the PagePilot E-Commerce system, a first-of-its-kind product allowing contractors to sell filters and other products from their website with direct-from-wholesaler fulfillment.
    • The growing company moves into the same 6000 sq. ft. building as the active heating, cooling, and plumbing company from which we started. Our roots in and thumb on the pulse of contracting make us different from most other digital marketing providers.

    • Online Access partners with two other contractors to purchase International Service Leadership, a premier contractor best-practice marketing group, from Lennox Industries.
    • Online Access brings SwiftWire to market for Successware software users, creating the first automatic maintenance billing system that processes both ACH and credit cards.

    • Online Access programs and delivers Connections training software for Lennox and Service Experts to do online training and evaluation of their employees.

  • 2003

    • Online Access joins Service Roundtable as part of their original sponsoring vendors. We expand our offerings beyond HVAC to include plumbing and electrical contractors.
    • The company moves out of David’s basement and takes over a building that Vincent Heating and Plumbing (Dave and Dan’s contracting company) had outgrown.
    • Online Access absorbs a small start-up programming company, adding four more employees. Online Access begins its unique journey as an online contractor marketing company backed by a programming house.
  • 2002

    • With major improvements to our CMS, we launch the first iteration of PagePilot, long before WordPress existed. It’s the first use of a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor to be available to HVAC contractors.
  • 2001

    • Online Access produces and releases video commercials to its clients for use with cable TV advertising.
    • Online Access develops and sells turnkey marketing to Lennox owned International Service Leadership, a contractor best practice group.
  • 2000

    • David Squires, in partnership with his brother Daniel, starts the company in March of 2000. It was the first time a CMS (Content Management System) was built and launched in our Industry. Our first sites went live in June of that same year.

The average contracting customer has been with us for over seven years. That kind of longevity is unheard of in the digital marketing industry. Each year, we also have several contractors return to us after trying other providers. We're proud of these things!
